The Firm Culture Guide

Below is a copy of the Firm Culture Guide that was complied by the 2007 BLS exec. Much of the information contained in the guide remains relevant today and we strongly encourage our members to review these files as part of their preparation for recruitment.

Welcome to the 2007 Osgoode Business Law Society Culture Guide. We hope that you will find it to be a useful tool in preparing for the upcoming recruitment process. The Guide aims to complement other resources available to students who wish to learn about Toronto business law firms and their respective cultures.

We compiled a 15 question survey based on input received from first year students preparing to enter the OCI process, and from upper year students who have already been through the experience. Members of the Business Law Society then conducted interviews with participating Toronto law firms to complete their respective surveys. In reading through the surveys, we hope you will find they provide a picture of each firm’s unique culture.
